Lucas Gerding

Nice to meet you! I’m Lucas, a recent graduate from UC Berkeley, and the head instructor at SF Chess Lessons!

My dad taught me chess at 5 years old. We played on the same wooden set that my great-grandfather had carved to teach my dad how to play. Those games, even the losses, I will cherish forever.

I love this game, and everything it has taught me. I’ve learned a few things over the years, and I’d love to share!
